Mr. Bhalke came to my place this morning and we spent hours talking about how we should manage the school, and what were the monthly and and long-term commitments. I appraised him about the collections that we had conjured up till date and discussed the priorities as we had planned to buy a table, buy the remaining text books for Class II, buy text book sets for some students of Class III and IV and pay the fees for the students who are unable to come to school due to their financial challenges.
We also discussed about the net monthly outflow for the school. How much is being managed by the contributions through the fees and the Sambhaji Shikshan Prasarak Mandal and how much is the gap. We have identified a monthly deficit of around Rs. 20,000. We were able to make a detailed spreadsheet on this which compared the monthly expenses, income, donations collected till date and immediate expenses.
We also planned the programme for tomorrow. The Sambhaji Shikshan Prasarak Mandal has a Govt. grant enabled school, Shri Bhairavnath Madhyamik Vidyalaya in a place called Yahali, near Indapur, Pune District, Maharashtra. This school is felicitating the students who have passed the 10th standard and the students who have passed in merit. It is a privilege that I have been honored to be the Chief Guest and be present during this function to meet the students and talk to them. I will share the photographs of the same in my post tomorrow after I return from the function.
Today, we have planned to buy some more textbooks (the ones we did not get last time) and a few more for Class III and IV. We also intend to buy the table for the school, if time permits. I also handed over the cheque for the fees for 15 students for the month of August.
